In a recent assembly, two confident Grade 10 students, Vaishnavi and Jashima, delivered thought-provoking speeches on a timeless life lesson: “Sacrifice Your Comfort Today to Achieve Greatness Tomorrow.”
Vaishnavi powerfully reminded her peers:
“Everything we want is behind our comfort zone. If we want to achieve something, we have to leave our comfort zone and move towards hard work. We have to be determined to reach our goal even if it means suffering or sacrificing what we want.”
She reflected on how, as younger children, many of us believe last-minute studying will work—only to realise later that true success comes from consistency and determination, not comfort.
Jaisimha echoed the same powerful message:
“Sacrifice is the word that describes how you achieve the results that matter to you. To gain the things you require, you have to lose something or leave something behind.”
